not Your Usual Holiday Snapshots

If you've been reading the blog instead of just looking at the photos, you'll know that I was in Cyprus in October. Normally when I'm there, it's a matter of catching up with relatives, sorting out business and eating far too much but this time round I was with a friend so whilst showing her around I actually took the camera out with me (it's sad that I don't normally) and shot off a couple of digital cards!

If you're expecting to see the usual snapshots of the beach, you'll be disappointed! I shot very random things like Coca Cola tables, doors, a few villagers from where my dad was born, old buses & cars. Image 3 is censored... the old guy is posing with his Playboy magazine (actually it wasn't his, it was the village idiot's - yes, that isn't a myth, they do quite literally exist)!

Sadly the last image is one of a few that my uncle sent me to photograph - the dog has been chained up constantly on this dry, dusty piece of rock, with barely any shade for the past few years and my uncle wanted a couple of photos to make a complaint to the government. Incidentally, he's had two dogs poisoned by the villagers.... :(
