I haven't photographed any kids shoots in quite a while now & it was actually refreshing to have a subject that wasn't self-concious in front of the camera. Amelie was a pleasure to shoot & her fun, free spirit shines through in the images.
Paul practically made me swear not to post anything about Bon Jovi's gig on Sunday. I've held out for three days but I just can't hold out any longer!
Let me begin by saying how glad I was it was Bon Jovi's first indoor gig for 15 years because it was pouring with rain which is hardly surprising because it was Glastonbury Festival weekend and it ALWAYS rains without fail this particular weekend!
I won't go on about it too much but, needless to say, Bon Jovi rocked the O2 Arena, the crowd was pumping and the atmosphere was probably one of the best I've experienced at their performances. It was especially great that Richie was out of rehab & performing because no one plays guitar solos like he does & I was happy to hear Jon finishing the night up with "I'll be back, good night". Sign me up for a couple more tickets please!
A bride emailed us yesterday with these kind words:

Everyone has their "thing", right? Paul's is most definitely windsurfing. Although he may argue this (!) he has in actual fact spent thousands of £s pursuing windsurfing either by buying equipment or heading off to Maui to sail! So what's your thing???? Mine is Bon Jovi... a rock-chick, through & through, always! The reason for this post? Just warning you all to expect me to be in major Bon Jovi mode until I see them on Sunday!!
Normally when it’s windy, Paul wants to drop anything & everything he’s doing, grab his windsurfing gear and head off for the beach. This particular day while we were in Cyprus it was blowing like crazy but, to my surprise, Paul pretty much forced me into a dress and we headed off to the beach for a shoot.
We spent about an hour at Akrotiri beach taking some shots and as much as I wanted to go into the water and get some shots of me drowning (I can’t swim!), I was too ill. Not only was I freezing my butt off & suffering from pharyngitis but it was almost killing me standing in front of the camera when all I wanted to do was be behind it shooting! Instead I got the short straw this time and ended up with all the Photoshop work! :P
We're out of HC-110 so I'll post the infrared from this shoot in a few days time when the smelly chemicals get delivered & Paul develops the film. Some of our favorites from the digital images are below...

Paul & I began shooting at 7am and went on until 4pm and we stopped in a variety of locations in Limassol ranging from a school basketball court to a run-down factory and then drove up into the mountains to a deserted, haunted hotel and a small waterfall. Sarah was just great all the way through!
As you can imagine there are plenty of shots which we're still going through but as we're still on holiday it's taking a little longer than usual! Below are just a few more from Saturday's shoot. More to come soon!

Currently Paul looks like a Greek Orthodox priest in training rather than the arty surfer dude he used to look like! But sshhhh, it's a secret, he's having his hair cut while we're in Cyprus and finally getting rid of that hideous unkempt beard!!! ABOUT TIME!
I won't be blogging much while we're away but hopefully we'll have some internet access & I'll be able to post a couple of times. Having said that, some people are still on dial-up over there so you can imagine just how SLOW the connections are! Sometimes, I really wonder if I actually DO want to live there again!
A huge thank you to my mum for house-sitting while we're in Cyprus but more importantly for dog-sitting my incredibly spoilt, beautiful, ugly boxer dog, Tyson, who I'm going to miss to bits even if we're only away for a few days!
