Published!

A few months ago, the yearly edition of Wedding by Must, the most popular wedding magazine in Cyprus, published an article on Trash the Dress which included text & images from us. We also offered a competition for a free session with prints & a cd of 15 fully retouched images. The closing date for entries is the end of May so, if you're living in Cyprus and fancy a session with us, pick up an issue of the magazine for further information!

New Locations

A week or so ago another photographer, Kevork, invited us to shoot with him. This photographer's father is, in my eyes, the Ansel Adams of Cyprus!! He'd travel around Cyprus on his donkey (!) with his large format camera documenting the island. There are so few images of how the island used to look and it's sad that we're only now realizing how important such records of a far-away past can be.

Anyway, I digress... here are a few photos from the shoot...and a cool new location - a deserted church near one of the many dry damns on the island.

My favorite from the shoot and possibly from this year so far (Paul shot this one!)

And a couple I took while the Paul & Kevork were shooting -

Spring

Time for a change... slightly different look to the blog but more importantly BIGGER photos!

Fair Trade!

You know you're living on a Greek island when you get traded fresh, home-made olive oil for a photo!

You may remember seeing some photos on the blog of an elderly lady called Katerina back in September/October 2007. Katerina is one of the few villagers still left in Kritou Terra, where my dad was born and raised. She kindly let me shoot some photographs of her and last month, very belatedly, my parents took some of the photos to her in the village. I hardly expected anything in return but they came home with a couple of very large bottles of delicious, fresh olive oil!

Old 'n' New

I really am doing a pretty poor job of blogging this year, huh?

Someone needs to whack me round the head and tell me to get my act together! And what's with the missing images on the sidebar >>> Where on earth did they suddenly disappear to? Maybe someone's hinting that it's time for new pics of Paul & I. How about some o-l-d pics instead?!

These were taken approximately 17 years ago. Yes, we're that old and the photos are that bad! And really, don't ask me why my bouquet was bigger than me because there's no sane answer!

These two should make a few photographers laugh, if not cry...

Ok, and something a little more up to date just to get our street cred back to approximately where it was - hopefully that's still possible!
